There is just so much to see and do in this area that we recommend a stay of at least 3 nights:
The Otway Fly is just a short drive from here and is the longest & tallest rainforest canopy walk in the world. It has recently begun operations of a tree top zip fly where you can fly through the trees on a flying fox. The Cape Otway Lightstation, also just a short drive away is the oldest, surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia. The light, which has been in continuous operation since 1848, is perched on towering sea cliffs where Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean collide. This is where you will be able to get up close and personal with koalas. The Great Ocean Walk Shuttle Service is a great service to use if you are thinking about doing the Great Ocean Walk. They can pick you up in the morning and drop you off in the afternoon. Makes it easy to experience the beauty of the Great Ocean Walk without having to worry about your vehicle. If you are coming along the Great Ocean Road you might like to stop in Lorne for a short break. It’s a beautiful town and a good spot to break your journey. When you arrive in Apollo Bay you might like to head to the local supermarket where you can pick up whatever supplies you may need. Of course you might have already decided that you are going to eat out at Apollo Bay’s many great cafes and restaurants. And who would blame you – after all you’re on holidays and it’s time to relax. Talking about relaxing you might like to pamper yourself at the Apollo Day Spa – highly recommended.
When you arrive at our venue you might not want to go anywhere but assuming you do please don’t hesitate to ask us anything. If you are continuing on from here along the Great Ocean Road to the 12 Apostles you might want to check out and perhaps stay in Port Fairy. A very worthwhile stop.
